Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in which she won the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are the most spoken languages. Her father is the theatre professor at one of the best Romanian drama schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award at the Young Actor Gala Mangalia. She was chosen as a European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. The film was awarded several awards, including an award called the European Film Award Best Actress given by the London Film Critics. Her role as a character in Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film 4 months 3 weeks and 2 zile (4 months 3 weeks and 2 days) earned her the Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two other awards, the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Additionally, she was a part in the film of Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. The role she played was Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca was a guest in the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. She later had a prominent performance in the 2014 film Fury in which she played an German woman who was named Irma aunt of Emma.
